Not your typical Pares

In today’s blog, we set our eyes at Best Friends, a small establishment in the streets of Aurora Blvd. Imagine, on a friday night with the squad some are sober and the others feel a little tipsy, as you freshen up yourselves because you don’t want your parents to scold you again for going home late and drunk. You eat a meal at Best Friend just to say to your parents, “Mom, I’m not drunk” before they wip your heinie or with a hanger. But, it’s just in my case.

Best Friends Pares & Mami House started it’s small establishment in 1994 along the streets of Moriones Tondo, Manila. Offers Filipino and Chinese cuisine that is in everybody’s budget. Best Friends soon become famous because of their delightful, mouth watering meals, so they open other branches in Metro Manila and the rest is history.

For all you who are living under a rock, pares or beef pares is a Braised beef stew served with a garlic rice and a bowl of beef broth. This kind of meal is served at a roadside diner buildings like a Pares House or Karinderya ( small roadside eatery that served affordable meals).

We ordered of course their flagship pares with garlic rice, beef broth and a complimentary 2 pieces siomai. Upon tasting the beef pares, you can really feel the meaty and juicy texture as you bite into the small bits, also some parts melt in your mouth instantly. their garlic rice was just like any other garlic rice nothing special, the beef broth was one of my favorite part. the hot and oozing beef broth when combine with the garlic rice, it just works. Also, may i add that the beef pares always works best with garlic rice.

Best Friend has also different meals that will help satisfy your late night cravings, opened 24/7, visit them at:
972 Aurora Boulevard, Project 4, Quezon City
